VĪDE Development
Privacy policy
Last updated 06.11.2026
This policy explains what personal data we receive through the VĪDE Development website, why we process it and what rights you have. The site has one form, for requests about our projects. Apart from what you send through it, we receive technical server logs and, with your consent, analytics data. The Google Analytics statistics tool is switched on only with your consent, and there are no advertising tools on the site.
The policy follows the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. Data controller
The controller of your personal data is SIA “Smart Comfort Group”, registration number 40203121506, registered address: Jaunsaules iela 1-5, Rīga, LV-1083.
For questions about your personal data and your rights, write to info@videgroup.lv.
2. What data we receive
In the request form you give us
- your name;
- a phone number, an email address or both, so that we can contact you;
- the project, the type of request and the home, if you choose them;
- a free-form message if you want to add something; this field is optional.
Together with the request we receive the site language, the time it was sent and a record that you gave consent.
We use your IP address only to limit the number of requests from one address and to protect the form from automated spam. It is not included in the request and is kept in the server's memory for about 10 minutes.
Our server keeps a technical log of each request with the IP address, time, page and browser type. We use these records only to monitor the site's operation and security. The content of your request, your name and contact details are not written to the log.
3. Why we process this data
The only purpose is to answer your request, send the booklet or information and arrange a viewing.
The legal basis is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. You give it by ticking the checkbox before sending the request. The form cannot be sent without it.
The legal basis for the server log and for limiting the number of requests is our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and working, under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
We do not make automated decisions or build a profile of you. We do not sell your data or pass it to third parties for marketing.
4. Where the data goes and who can access it
We save the request in a database and send it as an email to the company mailbox.
The site and the database run on a server we rent in Finland (Hetzner). Finland is a member state of the European Union.
The email with your request is stored in the company mailbox info@videgroup.lv, which runs on Google Workspace, so in this part Google acts as a processor on our behalf. Google may process the contents of such emails outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. For those transfers Google relies on the standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission and on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Google’s obligations as a processor are set out in the Google Cloud Data Processing Addendum: https://cloud.google.com/terms/data-processing-addendum
Requests are read by our sales team. We do not disclose your data to other recipients, except Google (the mailbox service and, if you have agreed, analytics; see section 6). We also disclose data when required by law.
5. How long we keep the data
We keep a request for 24 months from our last contact with you and then delete it.
Choosing a home and closing a deal usually takes months, so this period covers both construction and sales. If you want us to delete your data sooner, one email is enough.
We keep technical server records only as long as needed for the site's operation and security.
6. Cookies
The site uses only one cookie of its own, vide-locale. It appears only when you choose a language yourself, stores only that language code and is valid for 12 months. It is needed for the site to remember your choice, so no consent is required for it.
Until you make a choice, or if you choose “Decline”, the site sends no requests to Google services and sets no analytics cookies. There are no advertising or social media cookies on the site. Fonts and images are loaded from our own server. The “Open in maps” link on a project page opens Google Maps only when you click it. Google's privacy policy then applies to that visit.
If you agree, the site loads Google Analytics 4. It sets the cookies _ga and _ga_<ID> (valid for up to two years) and shows us aggregated statistics on the number of visits, device types, pages viewed, how many times the request form was submitted and how many times a phone number or email address was clicked. Your name, contact details and message never reach analytics. Google receives your IP address and cookie identifiers. The legal basis is your consent, Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. Google may transfer this data to the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
You can withdraw consent at any time with the “Cookie settings” link in the site footer. After that the site stops sending data to Google. Cookies already set can be deleted in your browser settings. Your choice is saved in the browser's local storage (localStorage, key vide-consent-v1); it is not a cookie and is not sent to the server.
7. Your rights
Regarding your personal data, you have the right to
- access the data, find out what data we hold about you and receive a copy;
- correct inaccurate or outdated data;
- request erasure of the data;
- request restriction of processing;
- object to processing;
- receive your data in a machine-readable format or ask us to send it to another controller;
- withdraw your consent at any time.
To use these rights, write to the address in section 1. We reply within one month. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal.
8. Complaints
If you think we process your data without grounds, please contact us first. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data State Inspectorate of Latvia (dvi.gov.lv).
9. Images on the site
Visualisations are illustrative and are not photos. The finished buildings may differ from them. Next to each image we state whether it is a visualisation or a photo.
10. Changes to this policy
If the way the site works changes, we will update this policy and show the new date at the top of the page.
